
CPD - Family Business & Divorce

This members' CPD day will be led by ICFIB Professional Member, Toby Netting, of Banner Jones Solicitors (who has a specialist interest in Collaborative law and alternative dispute resolution) and will look at key matrimonial law issues as they relate to the family owned business, including:
- the basic approach of the Court to the family business on divorce
- recent developments in the law relating to pre and post-nuptial agreements
- can trusts and other ownership structures defeat claims on divorce?
- dispute resolution options including mediation, Collaborative law and arbitration
The course is aimed at accountants, financial advisers and other professionals (including lawyers who do not specialise in matrimonial law) and who would benefit both from an overview of this key area of law and an understanding of the options and flexible solutions available to their own family business clients facing matrimonial difficulties.
