Successful business families have a deep and instinctive understanding of each other, however no family business will be entirely free from conflict and disharmony. At worst gaps in communication and understanding will be the root cause of family businesses failing to successfully transition between generations.

Times: 9am - 4pmThis CPD workshop led by Caroline Gourlay, ICFIB Professional Member and a specialist business psychologist, will examine psychological issues and concepts relevant to the growth and transition of early stage family businesses into the next generation.
Concepts covered will include:
• the entrepreneurial mindset
• differentiation and identity theory
• self awareness
• the role of ego in the family business
• scripting
• birth order issues.The object of the workshop is to provide those involved with family owned businesses with reference points to build a deeper understanding of family business dynamics and to equip them with further tools and strategies for working with family business clients.
